A key figure in Vaghasia Group’s rise to prominence is its founder, Mr Chatur N Vaghasia. Born into the stimulating commercial environment of the subcontinent, he was quick to demonstrate his flair for business by setting up a company under his own name in 1969 and single-handedly undertaking wide-scale trading in a diverse range of agricultural commodities.

As his interests grew, the Vaghasia legacy flourished. Under the stewardship of Mr G C Vaghasia, the Company took to ship chandelling, establishing its presence at the global level, while continuing to broaden its activities on the home front. Mr G C Vaghasia forayed into exports in a big way while his younger brother Mr Rahul C Vaghasia ventured into commercial real estate and international trading of engineering products.
